July is jewellery month for SquarePeg Studios and our sister gallery AirSpace Projects (right next door) will be hosting not one, not two but five jewellery related exhibition at SquarePeg Studios.
These exhibitions are timed to coincide with the Jewellers and Metalsmiths (JMGA) Conference, EdgesBordersGaps which will be held from 10-12 July with an opening night on Friday 10 July, 6pm-8pm.
The Theatre of Detail – Catherine Truman, Sue Lorraine, Jess Dare (Gallery 1)
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Gray Street Workshop an internationally renowned artist run initiative.
An exhibition of new work by workshop partners Jess Dare, Sue Lorraine and Catherine Truman in which the artists, united by a shared fascination with the adaption of nature and the wonders of science unravel concepts of scale, time and material specificity within their creative practices. The exhibition is a collection of objects and moving and still photography presented as a series of vignettes within the gallery space.
