Russel Duque

Russell Duque is a Sydney based metalsmith. Since graduating from the Design Centre, Enmore in 2014 with a Diploma in Jewellery & Object design Russell works with a diverse range of techniques and materials and focuses primarily on one-of-a-kind handmade works.

Feature prominently, and the forces that sculpt and impact on the Earth are explored and integrated into his creations, while the symmetrical beauty of machinery is reflected in structures and ornaments.

In 2015 Russell studied Japanese-style bladesmithing at one of the only extant traditional smelting centres in Shimane Prefecture, Japan and continues to explore various advanced Japanese metalsmithing techniques.
