I love being a part of the creative community which makes up SquarePeg Studios. Having my own space, within a shared studio and all the benefits which come with is integral to my art practice.
About our studio
SquarePeg is a Sydney jewellery studio and school in a 200sq metre warehouse space in Marrickville. With space for 14 contemporary jewellers and a well-equipped workshop, a tenancy at SquarePeg is an opportunity to interact with a mix of emerging and established makers in a supportive and creative environment.
SquarePeg Studios was set up by Brenda Factor and opened in April 2011 as a space for emerging and established jewellers to work together in a creative and supportive environment.
In 2017 Emily Copp and Kim Elliott, both resident artists, became directors of SquarePeg.

What is our graduate residency?
The Graduate Residency program provides a rent-free studio space at SquarePeg for a period of 3 months. It is a chance for recent graduates to further develop their own work in a supportive, creative environment. Successful applicants have their own dedicated studio space and access to SquarePegs well-equipped workshop, tools and equipment. Graduate Residents have the opportunity to work alongside our 13 resident artists, all contemporary jewellery makers. The residency provides an opportunity for mentorship, professional development and to connect with practicing jewellers at varied stages in their practice.
Past graduate work
Successful applicants must commit to spending a minimum of 3 days per week in the studio and are required to pay a contribution of $60 per month for utilities.
